Congratulations Joint EOS 4,9,10 Postoperative Pain Profiles, Analgesic Use, and Transition to Chronic Pain!
In a very collaborative, open and rigorous process we have identified our first MPOG EOS project!
Joint EOS 4,9,10 Postoperative Pain Profiles, Analgesic Use, and Transition to Chronic Pain was selected by the Research PI’s of all active MPOG sites with the highest priority score and subsequently confirmed by the MPOG Executive Board.
The Executive Board reviewed the final proposals and unisono agreed that all three are of outstanding scientific merit and probably should be done consecutively. This was an extremely close call as all proposals are ranked very similar. To focus our available resources and ensure successful completion the (barely) highest priority project was confirmed. Thank you very much for your active participation and contribution to this process. This is a success for MPOG as a team!
Now the work begins
We will start planning out next steps, resources and training required, IRB etc. Active sites who will be participating can expect to hear from the study team and us over the next couple of days/weeks to receive more details.
Our aim is to balance feasibility and impact to allow as many MPOG sites to participate in this joint effort as possible and willing.
Feels great to be part of such an amazing, academic and collaborative group of investigators!
Again, congratulations to our MPOG investigators and the EOS 4,9,10 team!
